SOCIAL AWARENESS IN
ROHINGYA CAMP
Since 25 August more than half a million people have arrived in Bangladesh’s Cox’s Bazar area from Myanmar. Most of them have gathered in makeshift or spontaneous settlements. Poor nutrition, communicable diseases (including vaccine-preventable and water-borne diseases), injuries and other concerns such as mental health provide immense public health challenges that the Ministry of Health, Bangladesh, WHO and other health partners are working to address. Clean water and sanitation are scarce for many Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, especially in unregistered camps. There for they are also involving in loacal fighting unexpectedly.
Therefore OXFAM and DFAT has decided to made this content to build awareness among those people so that they can get full benefit from the team providing water and sanitation, food, and adapting to better deal with the crowded conditions and sheer numbers of people in the camps.
